SAN DIEGO, March 24 (UPI) -- Z Microsystems was selected to provide the Italian navy with its computer server technologies to support a European multi-mission frigate program.
U.S. company Z Microsystems announced it has formed a strategic partnership with Italy-based defense company Eurolink Systems to support the European naval program following.
Under the deal Eurolink Systems will supply the FREMM European multi-mission frigate program with Z Microsystems' ZX series of low-profile, rack-mountable rugged computer servers including its ZX1, ZX2 and ZX3.
"We are happy to be working with Z Microsystems to integrate their rugged servers for this very important program," Eurolink Systems Chief Executive Officer Pietro Lapiana said in a statement.
"Partnering with Z Microsystems allows us to deliver a complete turnkey offering of products, services and applications in the defense and aerospace markets in Europe."
