Rugged Displays with Real Time Enhanced Video

The Intelligent Display Series (IDS) flat panel displays offer superior Real Time Enhanced Video (RTEV) capabilities to improve critical tactical surveillance missions.
The LCD display panels use a high-powered FPGA to apply image enhancement and edge detection algorithms to incoming video streams without adding latency.
A sophisticated image enhancement algorithm brings out detail in images degraded by poor visibility or atmospheric interference. The edge detection algorithm identifies anomalous shapes and highlights details for surveillance. Operators can turn image functions on or off with the click of a button.

The thin, lightweight IDS panels are available in 24″, 21.3″, and 17″ sizes. Each display can be VESA arm-mounted, panel-mounted, rack-mounted, or attached to a specifically designed multi-display mounting frame. The mounting frame allows the user to rotate each display to provide viewing angle adjustability from the fifth to the 95th percentile personnel per MIL-STD-1472F for vertical and horizontal visual fields ergonomic requirements.

Under the hood of each IDS panel is Z Microsystems' third generation intelligent video processing engine. This video engine offers a number of impressive real-time image improving functions designed to enhance streaming video or still images. The IDS panels also offer the “SMARTtracker” on-board diagnostic system that continuously monitors the display’s performance to provide early warning of potential faults or developing defects. All parameters can be set and quickly recalled to personal user’s preferences.

The IDS panel system is meticulously engineered for ergonomic comfort, with lock-down details for transportation and quick display-release locks for rapid panel replacement.
